Detail Itinerary

Day 01:Kathmandu to Bhadarpur flight

Today journey will begin in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. From there, you will take a 45-minute flight to Bhadrapur, which is a small town in the eastern part of Nepal. The flight will give you a glimpse of the majestic Himalayan range as you soar over the mountains. once you arrive in Bhadrapur, you will be driven to Taplejung, which is approximately a 7 to 8-hour drive away. Overnight at taplejung (1800 m)

Day 02:Taplejung to Chiruwa

Today involves a 6–7-hour trek from Taplejung to Chiruwa, covering 15 kilometers through forests and traditional villages. Stay in one of the basic lodges in Chiruwa for the night and enjoy interacting with the friendly locals and admiring the mountain views.

Day 03:Chiruwa to Shekathum

Trek from Chiruwa to Shekathum (1880m) in 5-6 hours. Trail passes through forests, waterfalls, and Tamur River. Shekathum has tea houses for rest and meals. Enjoy local culture, scenery, and vegetation, and relax for the night.

Day 04:Shekathum to Amjilosa

you will hike from Shekathum to Amjilosa, which will take approximately 5 hours. The starting altitude is 2510 meters (8234 feet). You will likely encounter scenic views of the surrounding mountains and forests along the way. It’s important to pace yourself and stay hydrated throughout the trek.

Day 05:Amjilosa to Gyabla village

Today you’ll trek from Amjilosa to Gyabla village, which takes around 4 to 5 hours. The altitude at the end of the hike will be 2730 meters (8956 feet), and you’ll stay at a local tea house in Gyabla. Enjoy the stunning mountain views and dress appropriately for the weather.

Day 06:Gyabla village to Ghunsa

Today’s trek leads to Ghunsa, which takes around 4 to 5 hours. The altitude at the end of the hike will be 3595 meters (11794 feet), and you’ll stay at a local tea house in Ghunsa. The trek is likely to offer scenic views of mountains, forests, and rivers. Be prepared for changing weather conditions.

Day 07:Rest and acclimatization day

This day is essential for your body to adjust to the high altitude and prevent altitude sickness. You can use this day to explore the surrounding area by hiking to viewpoints and monasteries. The trek is expected to take around 4 to 5 hours. It’s important to drink plenty of water and rest as needed to allow your body to acclimatize properly.

Day 08:Ghunsa to Khambachen

you will trek from Ghunsa to Kambachen. This trek is expected to take around 4 to 5 hours and the altitude at the end of the hike will be 4100 meters (13451 feet). You’ll likely pass through rugged mountain terrain and cross several streams along the way. It’s important to stay hydrated and pace yourself as you ascend to higher altitudes. You’ll stay overnight at a local tea house in Kambachen

Day 09:Acclimatization Day

you will have another acclimatization day at Kambachen, at an altitude of 4100 meters (13451 feet). You’ll use this day to hike to Kumbakarna base camp, which is at an altitude of 4785 meters (15699 feet). The trek is expected to take around 4 to 5 hours. This hike will help your body acclimatize to higher altitudes, preparing you for the next few days of the trek. You’ll stay overnight at a local tea house in Kambachen. Make sure to stay hydrated and rest as needed to allow your body to acclimatize properly.

Day 10:Khambachen to Lhonak

you will trek from Kambachen to Lhonak, which takes around 4 to 5 hours. The altitude at the end of the hike will be 4785 meters and you’ll stay at a local tea house in Lhonak. During the trek, you’ll likely encounter stunning views of snow-capped mountains and glaciers. It’s important to continue to pace yourself and stay hydrated as you ascend to higher altitude.

Day 11:Lhonak to Khanchanjunga north basecamp and back to Lhonak

you’ll take a day trip from Lhonak to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp, which is at an altitude of 5145 meters (16883 feet). The trek will take around 7 to 8 hours, and you’ll return to Lhonak to spend the night at a local tea house. The trek offers stunning views of the mountains and glaciers.

Day 12:Lhonak to Ghunsa

The journey is from Lhonak to Ghunsa and it takes around 6 to 7 hours to complete. The altitude is 3595 meters or 11794 feet. The accommodation is provided in local tea houses.

Day 13:Ghunsa to Sele Le

On Day 13 of the trek, the journey is from Ghunsa to Sele Le and it takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete. The altitude is 4390 meters or 14402 feet. The accommodation is provided in local tea houses.

Day 14:Sele Le to Cheram

On Day 14 of the trek, the journey is from Sele Le to Cheram via Sele Le pass which is at an altitude of 4850 meters. The trek takes around 7 to 8 hours to complete and the altitude of Cheram is 3870 meters or 12698 feet. The accommodation is provided in local tea houses.

Day 15:Cheram to Khanchanjunga SBC and back to Cheram

you will take a day trip to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp, which will take 7 to 8 hours and reach an elevation of 5160m or 28169 ft. After reaching the base camp, you will return to Cheram at an altitude of 3870m or 12698ft. You will be staying at a local tea house.

Day 16:Cheram to Torangding

you will trek from Cheram to Torongding. The trail passes through forests, suspension bridges, and small villages where you can learn about the local culture. The altitude at Torongding is 2080m/6824ft, which is lower than the previous days, making the air thicker and easier to breathe. You will stay overnight at a local tea house in Torongding.

Day 17:Torangding to Yamphuding

Day 17 involves a trek from Torongding to Yamphuding, taking around 7 to 8 hours. You will stay overnight at a local tea house in Yamphuding, which has an altitude of 1980m/6496ft. The trek features scenic landscapes, small villages, and suspension bridges over rivers and streams, with opportunities to interact with locals.

Day 18:Yamphuding to Kebang

Today involves a 5-to-6-hour trek from Yamphuding to Khebang. You will be staying at a local tea house in Khebang, which has an altitude of 1920m/6266ft. The trail features picturesque landscapes, small settlements, lush forests, and several suspension bridges over rivers and streams. You will have the opportunity to observe the local flora and fauna.

Day 19:Kebang to Illam

Day 19 involves a 6 to 7 hour drive from Khebang to Kanyam, known for its tea garden in Nepal. You will be staying at a local tea house in Kanyam, where you can explore the tea garden and learn about the tea-making process.

Day 20:Illam to Bhadrapur

after lunch, you will be driving to Bhadrapur, which will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Bhadrapur has an altitude of 93m or 305ft, and you will be staying at a local tea house. This marks the end of your trekking journey, and you can relax and reflect on your experiences.

Day 21:Bhadrapur to Kathmandu

Today you will be flying from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu. The flight takes approximately 1 hour, and you will be staying at a local tea house in Kathmandu. This marks the end of your trip, and you can spend the day exploring the city or relaxing before departing for home.
