About the Trip
Rara Lake is the biggest lake in Nepal and it is in the Karnali zone situated at an altitude of 2990m, the lake covers an area of 10.8 sq km. The Rara Lake is 5 km long and 3 km wide. It is one of the finest national parks in the world. The coniferous forest of this park is a comfortable habitat for musk deer, Himalayan Black Bear, and other wildlife species. Danfe, the national bird of Nepal can be seen in this park. The Trans Himalayan valley with forests and alpine meadows is also a part of the National Park. Wilderness and isolation travel destination Karnali, Jumla and Rara Lake are still comparatively unexplored and provide the glimpses of typical villages’ cultures and their rustic way of life.
